How many POP email boxes do you provide?
Hitme Studios offers hosting account ranging from 1 POP3 email account through to Unlimited POP3 email accounts. This is in addition to the email forwarding and unlimited aliasing capabilities that can be configured from our Control Panel. All email accounts can be accessed by using any standard POP3 email program, such as Microsoft® Outlook Express, Microsoft® Outlook, Eudora, Pegasus or by using the Webmail facilities that comes with any of our website hosting packages.

What if I exceed my monthly Data Transfer allowance?
You will be notified by email ahead of time when you are about to exceed your monthly data transfer allowance. At that time, will be given various upgrade options from which to choose from.

Can I transfer an existing domain name to Hitme Studios from another company?
Yes. You will just need to contact your current host, or the registrar of your domain and ask them to change the name servers (DNS) of the domain to Hitme Studios name servers. Depending on which hosting account you choose will depend on which Primary Name Server and Secondary Name Server details we issue you with. You should continue to keep your hosting service at your present site while waiting for the domain to be transferred, as it takes 24-48 hours for a DNS transfer request to be processed. Sometimes it may be necessary to contact your old host and/or registrar by phone to get the transferred completed.

Can you host international domains, like .tr, .ch, .ca, .us or .au?
Yes, Hitme Studios can host any domain that can be registered with an affiliated domain registrar, this includes the following domains: .com .com.au .net .net.au .org .org.au .id.au .info .biz and a host of other domains.

Does my domain name remain my property if you register/transfer it for me?
Yes. We always use your company information when we register your domain name, so your domain name will always belong to you. We are the technical, support and billing contact only. You are the administrator and owner of the domain name.

Do I need a web site?
Having a web site is more important for some businesses than others. Companies trying to reach customers in different locations (i.e., hotels or tourist attractions) or who have products that can be shipped to customers far away (i.e., flowers, handmade dolls, industrial patterns and supplies, telephones, etc.) obviously need to have an online presence. However, even local businesses (i.e., dry cleaners or shoe repair shops) can benefit from a web site that shows their location, lists their services or offers special promotions. And businesses that serve other businesses rather than retail consumers can benefit from a web site. Many businesses search for new suppliers online, and order online, too. If you want more customers, you should be online.

How long does it take to have a web site designed?
The time frame is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your site design, and our current client design schedule.

I want to be able to maintain the content on my website, is this possible?
Yes, we have all sorts of professionally designed custom or template packages website that have their own built in CMS (Content Management System) where you can simply login as the administrator and then select the page you want to edit and start editing the page yourself. You can edit things such as text, images, links, layout, email addresses and a host of other items also.

Can I update the site myself?
Yes! We will provide you with all the Admin account login details needed to update and maintain the site. We also offer phone, email, fax and sightmax support in educating you in how to update your site. Training is also available for an additional cost on request.

How does ordering work?
All you need to do is to select a template and its colour theme and place an order. Once we have received your order, we will contact you to arrange all the details. You will not need to know how to build a site or register a domain or any of the jargon that goes with website's. Our team know exactly what to do and will do all the development, registering and managing of your new website for you. Your job is to choose a design, colour and then email us with your photos, text and logo so that we can use them on your new template website website. We do the rest. To make things even easier if you are from within the Melbourne Metropolitan area we will even come out to your office and fully discuss any and all aspects of your templates and services.

Is there a credit card facility that I can have on the templates?
Yes, Depending on the complexity of the requirement you have we are able to create the necessary online credit card forms needed to communicate with Verisign, PayPal or PayMate. We can even put you in touch with the appropriate people at Verisign to arrange an account. The merchant bank facilities you will need to arrange at your perfered bank. Prices for this service start at $450- inc GST.

What is the weird ‘Lorem Ipsum Dolor’ text shown in some of the templates?
‘Lipsum’ is commonly used throughout the design industry as sample text. It is there to give an idea of what the template looks like if it were filled with real content. This example text is deleted and replaced with your text. The pages are re-arranged to an esthetically layout that complements your images and text.
